What is the best diet and exercise regimen that has worked for you? I want TRIED and TRUE results please!?
I’m trying to lose 40 lbs in 3.5 months, and I want to do it in the right way. I’m 5’4 and 232 lbs, so very overweight, making this an attainable and safe goal. Please give me advice on what has worked for you in the past, like how long did you run, job, walk, swim, work out, etc. to lose a lot of weight? Or someone you know’s experience with it? Also, what are some great foods to help in your diet? Not even just a diet, but an eat-better-feel-better lifestyle change?

After having my daughter I weighed 250 lbs…this is what worked for me.
I have lost 60 lbs.
Eat 1200 calories per day this will help you lose 1 pound per day. If you go walking 30 minutes per day you can eat 1400 calories and get the same result. The calorie requirement for men is higher men can eat 1400 to 1600 and get the same results.
A diet like this takes alot of planning and a trip to the grocery store. Get a calorie book and cook book to help with the planning. Remember to always eat 2 serving of fruit per day and drink plenty of water.
A sample diet looks like this:
300 Calorie BREAKFAST: 1 bowl of oatmeal or cold cereal, 1 piece or fruit
OR 1 cup of yogurt, 1 piece of fruit.
300 Calorie LUNCH: Garden Salad with 2 tsp of low cal dressing & 1 cup of low sodium soup OR
Sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread.
600 Calorie DINNER: 1 Lean Cuisine Entree (less than 600 calories), Fruit (cup of Strawberries or grapes)
OR 3oz of baked,broiled or grilled meat, 2 cups of cooked vegetables, 1 cup of fresh fruit and not canned
OR you can eat a 600 calorie lunch and then plan a 300 calorie dinner

BEVERAGES: Water, Tea, Diet drinks
On this diet you may eat as much raw vegetables as you want do not use dip. So load up on carrots, celery, asparagus, cucumbers, tomatos and broccoli
Use this for ten days per month.

If you find it hard to commit to an eating plan. Commit to walking 3 days a week 2-3 miles this will help you to get results. Buy a new pair of running shoes and a girdle. It is very important to wear a good shoe to absorb shock and a girdle will give you support and help u develop an hour glass figure. You will notice by the second week of walking you will feel stronger and less hungry and then you will be able to commit to a eating schedule. Stick to the plan for 90 days. Mark your achievements on a calendar.
